•Identify the problem or the challenge
The first step in solving a problem is to identify what the problem is. It is interesting to know that a lot of people are unhappy but have not sat down to locate what really it is that makes them unhappy.
So identify the area of concern – (Luke 14:28-31)
You may not even be unhappy but have not really identify what it is you want out of life or what it is you want to achieve at this time in your life, or what the obstacle is? Is it a new job, a spouse, a house, promotion, increase, a baby, etc. Having done this, let us go to the second step.
• Make a quality decision to overcome the problem God’s way
There are usually two ways to solve a problem, you either solve it God’s way or the devil’s way. But God’s way provides a permanent solution while the devil’s way does not.
So decide to solve it God’s own way. (Isa 55:11).
• Find your receipt to the answer in God’s word (The Bible).
You and I know that a receipt is the evidence to a product we buy in the market, in exactly the same way, the verse or scripture in God’s word that is related to the problem you are dealing with is the receipt of your answer to the problem or challenge. This verses or scripture is the guarantee of the answer that you are yet to see or experience. Armed with these verses, you are assured of the answer.
• Hear or listen to the word concerning your victory
This means that you should position yourself to hear God’s word related to your victory
Either by:
(i) Hearing yourself speak the word of God so that you can hear it with your ears (Joshua 1:8)
(ii) Attend church so you can hear the pastor teach or preach about it (Rom 10:17)
• Meditate on the word of God to plant it in your heart
The next step is to start meditating on the verse, scripture or word of God relating to the circumstance in order to plant it in your heart (James 1:21, Ps 1:1-3)
• Confess the word to release your faith
This is a very important part of the step, that is, you have to open your mouth and speak the word of God that pertain to the answer to the problem so as to plant it in your heart and so as to hear yourself say it (Mark 11:23), in order words, you have to speak to the mountain.
Note also that your faith has to be in two places, i.e. your heart and your mouth (Rom 10:8, James 1:26, James 3:2 -12, Rom 4:17b)
• Act on the word. Mat 7:24 -27, Luke 6:47 -49
This means, stepping out with your actions on the word of God that promises you the answer to the problem, there are two ways you can act, (i) by your actions, conduct or behaviour (ii) by your speech, what you say constantly and consistently.
• Apply the pressure of patience,
Patience is a force just like faith is a force, Gal 5:22, Phil 1:20. Bible patience means being consistently constant in your believing, that is, stand in faith until the full manifestation of your answer and don’t quit or cave in (Luke 18:1 -8.). Patience will make you to be complete and entire wanting nothing, James 1:3-4.

• Wait for God’s Time
Bear in mind that God is never late, he is always on time, God does not withhold from us. What usually cause the delays is how proficient we are in the use of our faith, here, it is important to understand the workings and mechanics of faith. Also learn to renew your mind daily (Rom 12:1 -2), it will assist your answer to come in faster. A programmed fast (abstinence from food) can also help but this should be done with some common sense because fasting without prayer or time spent in God’s word is simply hunger strike unless it is recommended by a doctor
• Expect the Answer
There is something called HOPE in the Bible (Rom 4:17 -20), it was what helped Abraham and Sarah to overcome the impossible situation they faced but this hope work in every area of life and for any problem that a man or woman may encounter. Apostle Paul also spoke about it in (Philippians 1:20.) SO BEGIN TO EXPECT THE ANSWER, hope is a partner to faith (Heb. 11:1). Begin to supernaturally expect God to perform His promises.
Note: A woman that is expecting a child usually begins to prepare and she takes action. This shows she is expecting a child, she starts buying feeding bottle and baby cloth, in the same way, BEGIN TO EXPECT.
