The Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has officially announced its first academic conference which is scheduled to take place 15th of December, 2020 at MAUVE 21 Event Center, Opposite First Bank Plc, Ring Road, Ibadan.
This hint was contained in a press statement made available to the media and signed by TAMPAN Director of Research and Documentations, Mr Yemi Amodu on Saturday, November 7, 2020.
According to the statement, the theme of the conference is christened, ”ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION: Solution To Poverty In NOLLYWOOD”.
The statement also urged interested participants to log on to http://conference.tampan.org through any internet enabled devices for registration.
It reads further,
“The papers on the solutions will be delivered by notable scholars and captains of creative industry like;
1. Professor Fadekemi Adagbada – GREAT DIALOGUE IS THE STRENGTH OF NARRATIVE: The Fundamental Component of A Good Film for Alternative Distribution Platforns
2. Professor Bode Sowande – WRONG USE OF METAPHYSICS IN OUR FILMS: A Limitation To Alternative Distribution Windows
3. Moses Babatope, the managing director of Film One Distribution – ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION DIVERSE: How To Maximize The Opportunities.
4. Dr. Shuaib Hussein is the Chairman of the Jury, Nigeria Film Corporations – ALTERNATIVE DISTRIBUTION PLATFORMS & ITS EXIGENCIES OF QUALITY CONTENT.
5. Mrs. Cynthia Uche Nwuka the Head, Creative Industry Group, Bank of Industry (BOI) – “GOOD DISTRIBUTION PLAN: The Panacea To The Scourge of Film Funding.”
The statement added, “Despite that, 50 of our members that just concluded their Proficiency Course in Film Studies and Cinematography at Ajayi Crowther University will be officially graduated on that day and 200 freshers will be matriculated as part of our Capacity Building.” It concluded.
