The long awaited blockbuster movie, Shadow Parties is finally at postproduction stage and would be available for public viewing in early 2020

The movie production commenced since 2017 features best of Nollywood and two Hollywood actors including, Sola Sobowale, Hafis Oyetoro, Magdalena Korpas and Lucien Morgan, with the lead actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Jibola Dabo who played one of the prominent Kings (and also Omotola’s dad).
Others are Segun Arinze, Prince Jide Kosoko, Ken Erics, Toyin Abraham, Said Balogun, Sola Kosoko, Rotimi Salami, Rotimi Makinde (former House of Reps member) along with Yemi Blaq, the lead actor.
The Hollywood actors, Morgan and Korpas are exciting attractions of the movie that increases its global appeal. While Morgan is known for An American Werewolf in London (1981), Return of the Don (2016) and Theft Unexpected (2013); Korpas is a film and stage actress based in Paris and born in Gdansk, Poland.
Amodu said the choice of Omotola as the lead actress was pretty easy for the team because she is not only marketable but is able to interpret her role excellently.
Morgan on his part said Nollywood has good actors but needed government assistance to grow like their counterparts in other parts of the world. He further advised the government to show genuine interest and strictly enforce laws against privacy to help the growth of the movie industry. Amodu added that the hydra headed monster contributed hugely for the slow advancement of the industry.

Shot in Lagos, Ibadan and Akure cities, Shadow Parties is a story about Aremu (Ken Erics) who hails from Aje, a town that neighbours Iludun, where his wife, Arike (Toyin Aimakhu) was born.
Known for fratricidal wars, which had claimed the lives of Arike’s parents, the towns were one more time thrown into war after the kinsmen of Aremu decided to burn his wife and child claiming she was an enemy and also triggering a reprisal attack from the Iluduns led by Lowo (Yemi Blaq), Arike’s brother.
A paradox of communal clash, “Shadow Parties” encapsulates the endless political intrigues that would later transform into blood business of arms and ammunition and of course the killings of innocent residents, which is an exposition of reality.
