Senate to establish Agency for repentant Boko Haram Terrorists

The Senate on Thursday began the creation of an Agency foror the education, rehabilitation, de-radicalization and integration of repentant repentant Boko Haram Terrorists.
The bill, which passed first reading, was sponsored by Senator Ibrahim Gaidam.
The creation of the Agency is coming few days after the Borno State Government disclosed that 1,400 repentant Boko Haram suspects have been released by the military and rehabilitated into the society.
The Bill is titled: “National Agency for the Education, Rehabilitation, De-radicalization and Integration of Repentant Insurgents in Nigeria.”
