Criticism and hate are the price successful people and brands pay for taking their feats to bigger heights. In the case of Evangelist Tope Alabi, I urge her not to let the tantrums, innuendos, and vituperation of her haters overwhelm or distract her calling.
Casting aspersion at an innocent woman for dancing on stage and appreciating God for making her an accomplished gospel singer with millions of fans across the globe, mother and wife, is a joke taken too far. This is totally uncharitable for anyone to be this petty and unreasonable under the guise of criticism which is utterly nonconstructive.
Meanwhile what the gospel artist did was simply scriptural contrary to the views of purveyors of hate, lies and deceptions.
Specifically, the book of 2 Samuel 6:16 has this to say, ”..And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul’s daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.”
Consequently, for despising King David whilst he was dancing to show gratitude to God inspite of his royal status, here is what verse 23 of same 2 Samuel Chapter 16 told us about the painful consequence which Michal subsequently suffered. The verse reads, ”And Michal daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.”
As a minister in the vineyard of God, Evangelist Tope Alabi should not be perturbed about her critics by listening to their toxic and uncomplimentary remarks. The gospel music minister should simply ignore the noise and use her haters as fuel for the fire in the spiritual task of soul wining for Christ and for being a blessing to the universe.
Very evidently and through the grace and the anointing of the living God, Tope Alabi, a virtuous woman with many indelible milestones will remain unrepentant in dedicating her life in igniting souls and populating the kingdom of God with her inspiring music irrespective of the antics of the fifth columnists. With her steady rise and her exertion to remain on top, she has proved her music is divine and she will never lose her space in the industry and in the kingdom of God.
Beyond her superlative musical lyrics and the glamour she brings onto stage, Tope Alabi’s major goal is essentially to propagate God’s amazing message of salvation, therefore people should concentrate more on the inherent messages in her songs and above all, look onto Jesus Christ, author and finisher of our faith and eschew frivolity and sensationalism at the expense of accuracy, objectivity and truth.
