Police uncover child trafficking syndicate in Port Harcourt, recovers 24 babies

The Nigerian police has allegedly busted a child trafficking and baby factory syndicate in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

In a statement by the Rivers Police Command Spokesman, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, he said members of the syndicate have been arrested while they have recovered 24 babies alongside 4 pregnant teenagers.

He noted that the babies and pregnant teenagers are malnourished and receiving treatment and urged residents whose babies are missing to report for identification and collection.
