The Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) has conferred on Hon Joseph Iranola Akinlaja
qualified mediator’s status at Eko hotel on Thursday December 6, 2018 during its annual investiture and awards ceremony.
The Federal parliamentarian representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency who has just become a Chartered Arbitrator was widely known for resolving disputes relating to industrial relations matters right from his trade unionism days in Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) where he rose to become the General Secretary.
Akinlaja, a serving Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources Downstream on Thursday was clad in black suit in company of his wife, Mrs Queen Akinlaja and his legal aide, Isaac Folorunsho. The Ondo Rep. was among other notable members of the academia and other distinguished professionals who have successfully completed NICArb’s mandatory programmes.
The event involved intellectual and practical discourse by invited guests from the academia, judiciary and private and public sectors.
