Governor Tambuwal mourns Chief Anenih

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has described the demise of the former chairman of the PDP’s Board of Trustees, Chief Tony Anenih as a great loss to the nation.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Abubakar Shekara said Chief Anenih’s incomparable participation in the democratic process from the Second Republic to the current dispensation is an indelible contribution to the institution of good governance in our dear nation.

” His enviable record of service in the police force was critical to the sustenance of sanity, peace and order, for which the citizens will remain grateful.”

” As we mourn Chief Tony Anenih, we as a nation shall remain thankful to Almighty God, whose will it is that he passed away and by whose grace Nigeria had the privilege to be served by such an exemplary citizen,” Tambuwal added.

He reiterated that “on behalf of the government and good people of Sokoto State, the Governor wishes to console the family, friends and associates of Chief Anenih on this irreparable loss and pray God to grant him eternal rest.”
