A boat conveying 22 passengers has capsized in the late hours of Wednesday around Coconut water side, Mile 2 in Lagos .
However as at the time of this report, it was gathered that 12 people have been rescued alive while three were confirmed dead as at 11pm.
Already, the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, the Marine patrol and local divers are reportedly involved in the rescue operation at the scene.
A resident of the area who confirmed the incident noted that though people have been rescued, the rescue team could not continue late into the night.
“As at this moment, the emergency responders including the divers have rescued 12 people alive. Three are confirmed dead. They are still looking for the rest now though the rescue teams are leaving the scene”, he said.
