2019 should not be do or die, says Tambuwal

Sokoto State governor and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Aminu Tambuwal, says the 2019 general elections, should not be a matter of do or die.

He said this on Wednesday while fielding questions from journalists during his visit to former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at his residence within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library complex, Abeokuta.

He said every Nigerian should have the confidence to provide good leadership and leaders that the people could trust.

Tambuwal who was a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, who said he had come to consult with the former president on his (Tambuwal’s) presidential ambition.

He said he believed Nigeria could be saved if there was a free and fair election in February 2019.

He said, “A moment like this requires consultation. That is why I am here to consult Baba on matters of the moment.

“Nigeria can be saved come February 2019, by free, fair and credible election. By the grace of God we will win the election.

“We should be able to give every Nigerian the confidence to provide good leadership and leaders we can trust.

“We have the right people that can do it. We should not take it to be a matter of do or die.”
